Dirty Looks

My band and I played the 80's NJ/NY circuit, but our real heroes were Dirty Looks. For those of you who remember that great trio, here is a link I found about them, including, sadly, a memorial to the great bass player, Marco Sin.
One night, they were at One Step Beyond, and I went upstairs to meet them before the show. They were really nice and genuine, and shared their cold cuts with me and my friends.

Much later, one day in about '84, I was in Ski Barn (Paramus), and I saw Patrick Barnes trying on ski boots. I told my girlfriend Doreen, who also sang with my band, that it was the great singer/guitarist/frontman, Pat. "Naw," she said. "That's not him." "Yes, it's him" I said. Well, I approached the guy, and it was Patrick Barnes. The band hadn't played in months, and I excitedly asked him what was up. He explained that there were some issues with his label, and I got the feeling he was out of the music biz. "What are you doing in Ski Barn, you should be on a stage, or in a recording studio?" I asked him. He shrugged that off, introduced us to his fiance, a pretty red haired girl, and got back to the business of finding a pair of ski boots. I never forget their music, nor their world class talents.
Anyone else have a Dirty Looks story?
Brian

I cannot wait for the 13th street website to be open again so I can buy the cd. Definitely a great band to have.

I've had their debut for years, but have never heard the 2nd lp. Anyone out there have it/heard it?? Is it worth seeking out? Trouser Press was kinda blase about it.

I saw Dirty Looks At Creation in West Orange.
Their debut record was a great one to crank up really loud.
I just got the CD on ebay and am awaiting it's arrival.

My brother and I, and a friend went to see them at the Main act concert club in Lynn, Ma, I think 1981. The show was 18+ .We arrived early and grabbed a table right up front. My friend had a fake ID or was of age I can't remember, he ordered a drink and was sucessful. My brother and I tried and all three of us were asked to leave. So I never got to see Dirty Looks,my brother claims we saw them at the Channel at a later date , he may have ,but I'm sure i didn't.In 27 years of concert going thats the only show I've been asked to leave.
Wouldn't "Drop that Tan" sound great on the radio in 2006?
