Too bad this guy is either a nutcase or a fraud.

That would be very cool to do however.
If you could get your own "New Wave Time Machine", and had the ability to do some stock market manipulation to generate scads of cash to prepare for your travel, where/when would you go?
The sky is the limit for your imagination here!
I would go back to May 2, 1980 and catch Joy Division's very last concert at High Hall, Birmingham University.

What would you do?

I'm an 80's freak but I'd go back a little earlier--
(1) the CBGB's/Max's Kansas City scene ('76-78 or so), with early Ramones, Talking Heads, Television, etc etc...you read so much about this that I'd like to see what it was really like

I'd go back to Max's, or was it CBGB's, to the very first NYC B-52's gig.

If I could go back into time with a New Wave time machine,I would go back to 1976-77 when Adam And The Ants first came onto the New Wave music scene just so that I could see what all of the Ant craze was like when it first started out. This would be way be

Send me back to 1981, Mr. Peabody!
I would have loved to see the Clash play at Bonds International Casino in NYC. Was planning to go, but dad vetoed the idea when I showed him a picture of the band... yes, my bad. They looked like a bunch of gay bike

L.A. in the early 80s would be excellent, but I would want to be older. I was only 10 in 1982 and missed out on all the fun.

I would do anything to go back in time. First thing I'd do is hit that Josie Cotton concert I heard announced on an old KROQ feed.
Then I'd totally live it up. Something tells me I would be incredibly overwhelmed just standing out on the street corner,
