the politics of dancing
the politics of oooooo feelin' good!
others that strike you as just plain silly?

The first one that comes to mind is:

For random words strung together I would have to say almost anything by The Cars.
"I want to shake like Liguardia
magic mouth in the sun
train ride to the courtyard

I think the B-52's were geniuses at this - -
"Why don't you dance with me - - I ain't no limburger..."(Dance this mess around)
"I'll give you fish, I'll give you candy" (Give me back my man)
I think the grand poobah of self-consciously silly ly

The first band that sprang to my mind was the B-52's as well.

One verse that has always perplexed me is in Adam Ant's "Strip." But then again, MUCH of Adam Ants lyrics were a bit ...er... daffy.
'I am not a man who believes in lies / Like an octopuss with big x-ray eyes.'
What the HELL does that mean?

This one always cracked me up, Our Daughter's Wedding: "Lawn chairs are everywhere, they're everywhere.
Lawn chairs are everywhere, they're everywhere, they're everywhere."
And, Sparks "Mickey Mouse":
"And my name is Mickey Mouse
