Following the "Top 10 New Wave Bands" thread, let's try finding the top NW songs. What Top 5 songs (and only 5 to make tabulating the results possible) would you place into your truly "legendary", iconic, or defining list? I'll start:

Generation X - "Dancing with Myself"
Depeche Mode - "Just Can't Get Enough"
Joy Division - "Love Will Tear Us Apart"
M - "Pop Muzik"
Vapors - "Turning Japanese"

Not my favorites - just songs that eventually became annoying, thus legendary.

'Video Killed the Radio Star' by The Buggles?
As hokey as it was, the song was (IMHO) appropriately chosen as a tribute nod to the NuWave genre which was in full swing

I'm going by Legendary = Best Known by the general public (not just us NW freaks). These are by no means the greatest New Waves songs of all time, but I think if you asked any non-Wave fan on the street if they knew the songs, they would be able to sing/
