Haunting stuff, if occasionally a little new-agey fantasy-geek heavy. Nevertheless, "Time Without End" is one of my favorite tunes from the late 80s. I'm a sucker for those ethereal female vocals.

You've inspired me to dig out my <I>Birds of Passage[/i] CD, which I haven't listened to in forever.

Bel Canto is always compared to Cocteau Twins. And rightfully so, IMHO.

I totaly agree. It`s one of the few great bands from Norway. The album: Shimmering warm and bright is well worth listening to

I agree with you and Panorama.. Shimmering Warm and Bright is terrific. If you like the Cocteau Twins, you'll like Bel Canto

Big fan here.

For those that don't know, frontwoman Anneli Drecker is a frequent a-ha collaborator -- duets and background vocals on the last few albums -- and is featured doing the same on the concert DVD "Live At Vallhall".

Her latest album, 2005's "Frolic" has a few songs I like, namely "You Don't Have To Change," "Stop This," and "Painted Black"
