Another "song with xxxx aspect" that one could make an itunes playlist about:

Songs with warbly voices. You know, vocals that go through some degree of distortion.

Only one I can think of right now:

Killing Joke - Wardance


And there's probably several by Chrome I can't think of right now.

IMHO, the most definitive song in this genre is "Time to Change" by The Brady Bunch...you know, the part where Peter's voice is cracking? Unfortunately, <a href="http://www.daveamason.com/april/mp3/TimetoChange%2Emp3">this version</a> doesn't have the cracking part...LAME!

If you mean just new wave, I like Sue Tissue going kinda nuts in the middle of "Gidget Goes to Hell".

Oh, and the "oh-eeh-o-oh" part in the Europeans "Animal Song".

When I see the word "warbly" I think of The Undertones.

Would using a vocorder/talk box count? If so, just about anything by Roger Troutman (Zapp).

Or, if you mean, just a naturally sort of warbly voice, then I think Ari Upp of the Slits has the BEST warbly voice ever!
