How is the new sparks cd? I'm a fan of their music from the mid 70's through about " Sparks in outer space "then I kind of lost track of them a bit.I bought " Lil Beethoven" and thought it was ok,the stand outs were Ugly guys with beautiful girls and Suburban homeboy.I wish they would get back to more of a rock sound.

I did'nt care for it, but thats just me. Wasn't new wave sounding at all, too experimental.

The new Sparks album is typical of latter day Sparks. All electronic studio wizardry, and it's pretty much just the Mael Brothers. Much closer to "No. 1 Song In Heaven" than "Kimono My House".

The new Sparks cd, "Hello Young Lovers", is pretty much a further extension of "Lil' Beethoven", which I consider a masterpiece. If you liked that, you'll like this.

"Dick Around" is an excellent track off it, really recommend it.

How many dates did the sparks do in the u.k? I saw a few clips on Youtube.I wish they would do a more extensive tour in the U.S.The only time I saw them was on the "Angst in my pants"tour.

Can we go back to all of 2005? If so, these were all excellent too...

I'm also anxiously awaiting Obliterati by Mission of Burma, follow-on to their return album Onoffon.

Morrissey's " Ringleader of the Tormentors" is certainly excellent. A bit of a grower - give it a chance.
