IRS, which crancked out the best new wave that ever hit American ears with the likes of The English Beat, Lords of the New Church, The Fleshtones, REM, Wall of Voodoo, why even ther Go Go's waved the IRS flag, or is it going to be Sire records with the like of depeche mode, madonna, and a couple of others.

Sire had Talking Heads, Ramones, Smiths, Echo & The Bunnymen, Depeche Mode, etc.

I.R.S. had a good roster, but nowehere near the quality depth thaqt Sire had.

Casting my vote for Sire.

I'm an IRS collector so I'll have to go with them-Seymour Stein was a true visionary however and his label truly embraced all that was good-Dead Boys-Radio Birdman-The Saints-The Undertones all had releases on Sire.

I think between the two, I have to pick Sire, just based on the fact that I have more artists from this label in my collection than I do from IRS. But it's a very close call.
And let's not forget that Kirsty MacColl was also affilliated with IRS as well
