Oh yes. PSB music is much more than "West End Girls", but that was the song that initially got me hooked on them.
Never saw them in concert though...[V]

FYI- The fabulous Pete Burns from Dead Or Alive has recorded a song with The Pet Shop Boys called "The Jack & Jill Party"
You can hear it at the PSB website.

"Opportunities(Let's Make Lots Of Money)" was the song that got me hooked. Btw, their remastered catalogue is excellent.

Oh hell yeah! Great band with alot of cool hits. Great. Great music for clubs and dancing.

Liked that remix of Bowie's "Hallo Spaceboy" too. Is that on a Pet Shop Boys disc?

I just spent $26.99 US a few days ago at Media Play to buy a copy of
"Alternatives" by the PSB. It has a lot of cool B side stuff on 2 discs. I probably could have found a lesser expensive way to get the one song that I was dying to have:
"Was That What It Was"

I just had to have that song. I had heard it recently on an old tape I had made from a friends 12" back in the 80's. That song is a classic example of how music came together in the 80's. The drum beats, delay effects, Orchestra hits. Amazing, and totally still dancable.
Our band has been trying to figure out which PSB song we should cover. I'm thinking West End Girls, Coolie (our female lead singer) is thinking "What Have I Done..." and we've also been thinking about "It's A Sin". Lately, I've also been thining about doing "In The Night", after hearing the remix version on an album called "Essential PSB".

Hey, I think that is money well spent. There are a bunch of gems on that disc, to name a few:

Was That What It Was?, You Know Where You Went Wrong (my favorite tune), A New Life, Jack The Lad, Bet She's Not Your Girlfriend, In The Night.

A favorite of mine by them is "Suburbia". I always thought the first album was great, but hated that the original version of "West End Girls" was left off it.

So nice to see other fans of the PET SHOP BOYS!!!!!!!!!!

Geo Caching? Quite interesting! You use a GPS and find the coordinates to where people have hidden caches (containers with log book and little trinkets to trade) and they are all over the world!! There are little things called GEO BUGS you place in caches and people pick them up and put them in a new cache and you track their movements. Funnily enough, I have a GEO BUG named HAPPY PET SHOP BOYS #1 CANADIAN FAN BUG. ) Here is its link: http://www.geocaching.com/track/details.aspx?ID=31501 its purpose is to have its picture taken with Neil Tennant or Chris Lowe. Wish it luck. It seems to have stopped in California right now. LOL!

Two Divided By Zero Zero Zero...
I go back and forth but the first album is my favorite. Every song is amazing. Kind of lost touch with them in the 90s. But those first few single word albums will stay with me forever
