What is it about this song and others like it at dance clubs?

I remembering hanging out there at the dance clubs chillin out at the lounge hanging out with friends with my girlfriend in the soft cloud of clove-cigarette smoke (since smoking back in the day was legal in dance clubs, now it's only legal in Nevada) and then... all of a sudden...the DJ spins Dominatrix...my girlfriend and her friends stop dead cold for a split second...there is this slight girllie screech for a moment... then they make an immediate b line to the dance floor, in fact all the girls in the club rush to the dance floor like a cattle stampede. It was like this at all the clubs weather it was at Stargaze, The Paladium, The Omni, Primary or Lips it was all the same.

So what other songs do you remember that had the same effect?

Janes Addiction- been caught steeling. I don't know why but when you heard the dogs bark, drinks would hit the floor and every body would run for the floor.

&
"Time Zone" - Afrika Bambaata & Johny Lydon

Another Song Secession's "The Magician"

Time Zone and Blue Monday were also great trax that electrified the dance floor.
