Postby phillyidol » Mon Jul 19, 2004 4:25 am

Anybody from N.Y. remember this?[?] If you were a fan of wlir, then you would remember the nonconformal ball. They had it at the Ritz in Manhattan. You had to dress formal but different. One year I wore a tux with zippers all over it and checkered shoes. Another year I went as a tourist. I had blue pants, a checkered blue and white jacket, and a Hawaian shirt. Anybody go?

The ball was great. I met and hung out with the Ramones. I guess thats my brush with fame.

Hi. DJBird was selling all of his WLIR stuff. Probably 1000 or more records and wlir memorabilia. The records were mostly promos that the record companies sent to him at wlir. I was there three times! He was in the process of moving to Florida and co
