Has anybody noticed themselves reacting differently to a song or album on their computer versus on a home system or car, especially a new song or one you haven't heard in a long time? It seems sometimes that music that I discounted or regarded lightly while listening at the computer takes on a whole new dimension after a more relaxed listen in the car.
I wonder if at the computer, the music usually has my whole attention and maybe my brain is looking for that immediately pleasing hook or fix. In the car or stereo, maybe my brain isn't so needy and soaks it in differently, even with different environmental inputs
Does this make any sense? Anyone else notice this? Reminds me to allow more time for some music to sink in. An old example for would be Television and more recently The Walkmen.
