You choice and your comments as to why?

If there's more than 8 albums, I've chosen the first 8 (unless there's obvious crap in favor of some later stuff). I'll compile all the results for all the bands in one place.

Lets just say that Porcupine was my high school girlfriend's favorite record and we spent alot of "alone time" with it playing in the background.

Heaven Up Here
I know it's a lot of fans' least favorite; but the dark calls me and it's their darkest.
And honestly, I think it's by far their strongest musically, both in composition and playing.

Edit: Here's a small Echo anecdote.
I went to see them at the Paradise in Boston in 1978. They had scheduled two shows that night. It was a miserable night outside, thunderstorms.
Well, to put it plainly, the show sucked. They were off badly, hardly in synch and had no energy.
The show finished and my girlfriend and I were quite disappointed.
Apparently the second show had not sold out and there were no people waiting to buy tickets so they announced that anyone who wanted could stay for the second show.
My girlfriend and I looked at the pouring rain outside and decided to stay.
It's a good thing we did. They came out for the second show and it was like they were a completely different band. Tight, in synch and on fire.
It's still one of the best shows I've ever seen.

I agree with Rokr above 'Heaven up Here' is astonishing (BTW check out the B side of 'A Promise' called 'Broke My Neck'----It was close But I had to go with 'Crocodiles' --- longer term listenability

Well this one was an easy choice-I know that Mac and Will love ocean rain but Porcupine-OMG-the cutter is the best song by them of all time!!
