The real essence of new wave!

Best synth/guitar/bass lines ?

Yadda yadda yadda, it's well kown that the secret of a great new wave track is it's use of TUNED PERCUSSION!
I'm talking xylophone, glockenspeils etc.

Some of my favourites:

Hong Kong garden by Siouxsie and the Banshees;

Love my Way by the Psycadelic Furs;

Miss th girl by the Creatures;

and not forgetting the grand tradition of synths mimmicking the above instruments:

The opening of Uncertain Smile; Lot's of Japan circa Tin Drum.

I'm sure there are many undiscovered entries in the pantheon of "Tuned Percussion in New Wave".

Let's here 'em !

There's a sort of steel drum riff in the background of Steinwolke's "Katherine Katherine." during the instrumental section.
