These guys are one of my all-time favorite groups. Since I originaly first heard them from a cut-out lp of Yukihiro Takahashi's "Neuromantic" in 1982 and from that day forward i've agressively persued all of their music. They are remarkable as a group and as solo artists as well. Sketch Show is their most recent incarnation as a group. They are all very prolific and to try to get "everything" is next to impossible. It would be easy to play a seven degrees of seperation YMO game as they have impacted so many other artists by production , guest appearences or by general influences. At last count iwas up to around 200 discs of them.

One of the class acts of all times. I went for Solid State Survivor for my favorite. It's got Rydeen, Technopolis, and Solid State Survivor on it.

I chose Technodelic, which isn't the best overall listening experience in terms of catchy melodies, but to me it's a very groundbreaking album with elements of early industrial and lots of interesting experimentation.
