I'm a huge fan and have around 40 cd's from Be Bop Deluxe and spanning Nelson's career up to his latest stuff.
"Sound on Sound" is great, the most "New Wave" album.
His first solo, "Quit Dreaming and get on the beam", wqas supposed to be the 2nd Red noise Album, it's really good.
Love that Whirls remains his most famous record, its one of my all-time top 10's. A must. It was re-released recently and worth snapping up.
Chimera is pretty good early 80' pop, includes Mick Karn from Japan on one song.
of the 90's stuff, "After the Satellite Sings", "Weird Critters", "Magnificent Dream People" and "Blue Moons and Laughing Guitars" are terific,
Check out his website, he writes a great diary and still puts out 2-3 albums peer year. Amazingly prolific.
