The Brits have recently vaulted Oasis's "Definately Maybe" past Sgt. Pepper in greatest rock album ever according to a just released poll. After your head stops exploding, what album do you feel best deserves this lofty status in your collection?

My personal choice is QUADROPHENIA by the Who.

What an asinine statement. Do you even think before you type? The question was "What's YOUR #1 album of all time?" , which everyone answered as asked. What seems to be the problem?

FYI, the definition of "objective" is "undistorted by emotion or personal bias". Exactly what the fuck is a favorite if not based on emotion (a mental state that arises spontaneously rather than through conscious effort and is often accompanied by physiological changes; a feeling) and/or personal bias (preference or an inclination, especially one that inhibits impartial judgment??? Let me know if you need "impartial" defined.

I would have to go with the Beatles Sgt. Peppers. That album it still blows Me away.

A good second would have to be Micheal Jackson's Thriller. I know he's not popular and even hated right now but that album is one of the best releases of all-time.

My personal favorite is Kraftwerks Computer World.

We had a thread like this a month or so back, and my answer's still the same. Payola$ - "Hammer on a Drum." I connected with every single track on there. Four classic singles, awesome cover art, great lyrics -- all that and a duet with Carole Pope. What's not to like? The only thing that could have made it better was the inclusion of "Soldier."

I keep a loaner copy around just so I can convert the unaware. Every one who returns it tells me it's the best album they've ever heard.

They have to. I make them.
