Who were the coolest looking bands/acts. Here is my some of my favourites:

Pseudo Echo - Autumnal Park era (You can't look more New Wave than these guys did during this era)

Hubert Kah - Still love Hubert Kemmler's berets and the sharp outfits the band members used to wear

Duran Duran - pre-Seven & The Ragged Tiger (The kings of New Romantic)

Visage - I get some Visage stuff just for the covers

Strawberry Switchblade - These two girls look so strange but they look so sexy

Xymox (Clan of) - Synth goth gods. They still look awesome today.

Adam & The Ants - Just mix all of your halloween costumes and make up together and you'll get this look. Odd but effective.

Alphaville - Love the trenchcoats, the girly hair, and every album they ever made.

Anything Box - One of the last bands of New Wave going into Synthpop.

Gene Loves Jezebel - Awesome goth meets glam look.

Dead Or Alive - Pete Burns, that's all I have to say.

Depeche Mode - Black Celebration era (their best era)

Spoons - They just look so cool when they perform

Tears For Fears - The Hurting era (love the pig tails)

Thompson Twins - I guess you can look cool in rags.

Information Society - I don't know why but I just love watching these guys.

Spandau Ballet - their early look (Duran's New Romantic rivals)

The Human League - Phillip Oakey and his strange but cool looking hair. The two girls next to him always gave them the perfect balance.

Japan looked the absolute coolest throughout their entire duration.

First I would say Duran Duran because they started a whole look. Everyone had the clothes and the haircuts. But I liked harder looks like Adam Ant and Annabella.

I thought that some of the coolest looking new wavers were: the B-52s,
I loved their wild bouffants and even copied it for my prom; Klaus Nomi(from Urgh, a Music War movie)very unique futuristic style; the Ramones(classic and cool), and A Flock of Seagul

Angel & the Reruns with the 60s retro beehive hairdos, but still looking modern.

The Suburbs.

Impeccably dressed, always.

Gary Numan, by far. He was such a new wave pioneer in looks and music.

How 'bout the Bangles-now there were some women who could wear mini-skirts

How 'bout the specials, too. They single-handedly rescued the pork-pie hat industry

I thought Kim Wilde was pretty cool.

Y'know, I sorta liked that Spandau Ballet makeover in 1983, when they went all collegiate and those trenchcoats. They looked like the most well-to-do band on the planet (although I'm sure they got screwed by their record company like everyone else did).

I also thought Haircut 100 was cool with their classy preppy sweater and tie look.[;)]

Heheh, I forgot to mention a few:

Freur - Whatever they were wearing, it looked kind of cool

The Danse Society - I think these guys confuse the heck out of everybody, were they goth or were they not?!?

Ultravox - The most normal looking band ever

Don't even get me started on Bananarama. They would have looked good wearing plastic bags and rubber bands.

Man did Keren look good in that video. I had a VCR hooked up at that time and must have recorded that video off of video shows about 10 times. Gosh, that one shot where she turns her head straight into the camera. Goo goo gah gah!!! I'm going to start
