Lets talk about the Who during they're Mod hayday.

Let's try to exclude the deadly stampeeding days of they're 70's areana rock years.

Unlike the Police who "road the punk wangon" for convienence though in that genre not sucessful until the new wave years beginning in 79. The Who road on the Mod generation back in the 60's and very sucessfully though not as pretentious as the Police(in the case of 70's punk) it was in a sence a marrage of convienence.

But the Who did belt out some classic tunes.

What were your favorite from the My Generation, Quick One(Happy Jack), Sell Out, Magic Bus era?

Meaty Beaty Big and Bouncy is my favorite. Even though this is a 70's album, Who's Next is a mega-classic that is right up there with The White Album and Exile on Main Street, IMHO.

Favorite song from that era of the Who, though, "Circles"

I love "A Quick One While He's Away", that whole album is terrific. And to think that song was penned in just ten minutes to add filler to the "Quick One (Happy Jack)" album is mind-boggling (or so the urban myth goes). And even if they did get arena ro

"My Generation" sure sums up some of the self-righteousness around here.[}:)]

Fave Who 60's song "I Can't Explain" (and I'm not going too).[:)]

Who sung "F*ck A Mod", I don't agree with the song, but that's what I'd call Punk.[:D]
