Really Bad New Wave Covers

Upon getting a Placebo bonus disc that featured some new wave covers, I was pretty excited. However, their version of The Smiths' "Bigmouth Strikes Again" is AWFUL. I mean, bad enough that it could only be passed as a joke. And Placebo is not a bad band by any means. We all know some obviously bad covers (The country version of "Burning Down the House," etc.) Any other covers from decent artists that just plain suck?
By the way, also on that disc is their version of Kate Bush's "Running Up That Hill," and that is very good.

I generally like No Doubt, but I was really disappointed in their remake of "It's My Life". I felt like it really didn't do the song justice. Jessica Simpson's cover of Berlin's "Take My Breath Away" also is not one of my favorite cover songs. The diff

There is a really great cd of a lounge singer doing modern songs in lounge style. I love hearing the rap songs in lounge lizzard style. It is funny as hell!

I find Marilyn Manson's cover of "Sweet Dreams (Are Made Of This)" to be totally pointless.

radio80s.com for some bizarre reason plays all the modern-day remakes of 80s hit tunes and just slaughters them. Bands like Limp Bizkit, Creed, etc just turn them into nu-metal songs and fails badly.
I heard a swing version of Poison's "unskinny bop"

311 - Lovesong
Disturbed - Shout
Gravity Kills - Personal Jesus
The entire Neon Lights album by Simple Minds
No Doubt - It's My Life (Nice call Nowhere Girl - this cover is
just unforgivable)
Dope - You Spin Me Round

The Duff (or is it Lohan, it's so hard to tell them all apart) sisters should be shot for that butchering of "Our Lips Are Sealed".
Same with Blondina there, Jessica Simpson doing "Take My Breath Away". I own the ACTUAL synth that that song was origin

I heard "Ex-Girl" do a cover of M's "Pop Muzik" on KFJC radio a couple of years ago. That was excellent, but I haven't heard it since.
A few months before WLIR went off the air, there was a daily cover song played each afternoon around 5:30. Does any

I used to babysit a little girl who listened to the Disney radio station and there was always this awful version of "The Tide Is High" but I don't know who did it.
I like "White Wedding" by Sentenced.
Jimbo: I actually like Marilyn Manson's version

I wanted to ask you, you have a video for your synth group, but what about your other group?

For a truly B-A-D cover you need to rent the movie "Satisfaction". Justine Bateman has a band that does the whitest, soul-less cover of Elvis Costello's "Mystery Dance".

I thought I was the only person to see that movie! How did thet get Liam Neeson for that? How did you like her trying to be on stage like a star? She looked like she was having a spastic fit.
