Really Interesting threads about radio

I am getting more and more intrigued about these threads on radio stations and people who are trying to reconstruct the playlists on the Internet.

I would really like to do some research on this and hope I may have the time to do so.

Oh well, at least I know where to go for information. I guess my research would revolve around the creation of identity through listening to certain stations and perhaps the recreation of that identity in cyber-space, or some such.

Right now I don't know if I can spare the time to do this-but it is a fascinating idea.

We're going to be doing something like this at WFDU in November. I think we're doing several hours of music from a particular year each month. Don't know where we're staring though. 1977? 1980?

If you want to correlate and analyze the research, I will do the leg work for KROQ and her "almost" sister station here in San Diego, 91X.

Thanks for the idea jimbo-but my focus is on the fans-not the stations themselves-although they are obviously an important part of this-I have to do some serious thinking about this-theory wise and otherwise-but I think this message board would be a faboo
