Martini Ranch, a band you should know and love

Has anyone but me heard this band's lone 1988 release Holy Cow? If anyone has, please share your thoughts on it with me. The band was headed by a guy named Andrew Todd and none other than Bill Paxton. Yes, Bill Paxton. That fact alone should make you curious to check them out. I got their CD off E-Bay for a really low price and it will forever remain as one of the favorites in my collection. It is very disappointing that they only released one album, since I think this one's such a keeper. Their songs are really diverse, with some being straight rock and pop, while others are much more wacky, quirky and experimental. Very nice mix of "real" instruments with electronics and sampling. All of the songs have really good melodies and most are really catchy. I think you might be surprised about how good this album is if you check it out. I was pretty shocked because I was just getting it because I thought it was funny that Bill Paxton was in an 80's band. I never thought I would like it this much.

If I recall correctly: Bill Paxton's good friend James Cameron (yes of the Titanic fame) helped produce the video to "Labouring Man"
Look for Bill Paxton in a few of Cameron's movies:
Terminator - he played a punk in the opening sequence.

Yeah, I love their songs "Reach" and "World Without Walls" from Holy Cow. "World Without Walls" even has one of the B-52's girls on it. Good stuff and I can't see Bill Paxton in anything without thinking of Martini Ranch and the incredibly kitzchy video t

I always get Pullman and Paxton confused-it doesn't help that they were both in mid-90s movies about the gunfight at the OK corral

Well.. of course I know them, what an amazing band!! Holy Cow was released in 1988 on Sire records I believe, I own both the CD and the LP along with many 7" and 12" singles some inlcuding:
