Here's a couple of more links for people to bookmark.

has done a tremendous job documenting women in rock-it seems that despite contrary evidence-women who rock are still confined to the "singing dog" category (you know-just as people would be surprised by a singing dog ..... fill in the rest). Lots of good stuff on 80s bands. I know this was remarked on in a previous thread-but it does seem that besides opening things up musically-there was a lot of gender equity opened up in 80s muisic, too. For the 60s minded out there I highy reccomend the "Girls in the Garage" comps for some hard-rockin' women from the 60s.

also for the 60s minded (like me) Ugly Things Magazine-has available

at their site : www.ugly-things.com/ an exhaustive track listing of 60s comps from the 60s to the present day-oy vey, but someone put a lot of work into that!!
