So did new wave get you go down to Guitar Center to buy and instrument like guitar, bass or drum or keyboard and learn to play your favorite new wave licks?

If so what NW or PR tunes did you learn?

I played bass in a couple of bands but Tears for Fears "head over heals" inspired me to buy keyboards. I bought a casio keyboard which was a couple of hundred bucks back then. I learned the intro from the song and that was it. I guess I had a problem with

Back in the day I got a really crapper guitar and tried my best to learn "Der Kommisar" by After The Fire. My friends wanted me to learn Def Leppard songs [:p]

Well anyways I've bought several guitars over the last 20 years but never learned to play

I got into keyboards quite a bit and played with local bands in the early to late 80's.

I got a bass on a whim in the early 90's and never got 'good' at it but still pull it out now and then....

Got a guitar a few years later and found that if I t

It didn't for me but it did for my daughter.
Gang of Four, Sex Pistols, The Blasters and X (especially Billy Zoom of X).

So I got her a Stratocaster and an old Fender Vacuum tube amp and she is now learning.

Awww, Jimbo, you're a good parent. Next up you'll have to get her a nice Gibson and a Marshall to round out the collection, lol.

Totally. I play guitar and collect vintage synth gear like it's a crack habit or something. Sing, too.

Then I figured out that the total tab would be a bit over two grand! [V]

Right now sh

I've bought and sold a store's worth of gear over the years. Some nice, some crap. SOme I made a tidy profit off of, some I got totally hoodwinked (selling a Roland SH101 and MC202 for $150, when they were worth about $500 each).

I've got a Korg Poly

I can sing and am trying to learn the keyboards. If I had my way, I would front a band where every song topic would be about masturbation. Hey, you write what you know.
