How does everyone feel about a member of a band who resurrects the band's name and continues to tour AS that band? I'm thinking of when drummer Michael Clarke of The Byrds toured with four other guys as The Byrds long after the real Byrds broke up, or when Mike Love and an army of sidemen tour as The Beach Boys. Surely it happens in New Wave too.

Are these musicians sacrificing the integrity of ther original bands for a quick buck or are they simply keeping the name alive?

..and if anyone has a funny story about seeing a "faux band", I'd love to hear it.

I've seen too many "one remaining member" bands. To me it's just not the same, especially if the originals are the musicians and not the singer.
