Interested in writing???
A Rhode Island based independent music company is currently seeking prolific and intriguing writers for its soon-to-be-published magazine. “The Hidden Track” focuses on indie musicians of all genres, from all areas of the world. It will be distributed mainly in New England, but copies will be available for contributing writers. We are seeking to expose the struggling musician, their climb to the top, their descents to the bottom, and everything betwixt. Yeah, always wanted to use that word in something that didn’t involve a paper on Shakespeare.
What we want:
-CD REVIEWS- any genre, any location, any length.
-FEATURES- anything… examples, “How To Set Up a Home Recording Studio”, “Rocking A Crowd”…
-LIVE REVIEWS- specific to New England, but all submissions will be considered if interesting enough.
-INTERVIEWS- any genre, anywhere… only parameter is that interviews in non-New England areas should be focusing on the style and unique nature of the scene.
-FICTION- a monthly section will be devoted to fictional stories/poetry- should be geared towards music/art/culture, but, again, all submissions will be considered based upon writing abilities.
-FILM REVIEWS- independent films preferred.
-POLITICAL COLUMN- looking for a conservative-minded person to take part in a monthly “debate” with a liberal. Both will get equal magazine space, but express their opposing/similar points.
If interested, email editor@thelocalmix.com for more information. Or just start submitting! The more the better….
Take care of yourself and someone else,
