Which Band Did You Prefer Dead Boys Or New Church?

The only album by The Dead Boys that I am really missing is the one that I have wnated by them the most,and that is "Young Loud And Snotty" I already have "We Have Come For Your Children" which to me is their best album by far,so far.Until I get to hear Young Loud And Snotty,I really can't compare everything they did.But of the two albums I have,"We Have Come For Your Children" is the one that is the most classic album of theirs so far.And I love that album too.Great old Punk from the 70's.

I just recently found a reissue of their live album called "Night of The Living Dead Boys" on Bomp on CD,and while it was still very good,it still wasn't as good as "We Have Come For Your Children" Maybe after a few more listens my opinion may change,but I highly doubt it.

So what I can I expect out of "Young Loud And Snotty" should I ever find a copy? Also,are there any cover songs on that album? If so what cover songs do they do off of it?

One last thing.If you had a choice to pick between the two groups that Stiv Bators was in between The Dead Boys and Lords Of The New Church,who would you say that you liked more,between the two groups? Me personally,If I had to really reach and pick,I would go with the Dead Boys,only because I liked their style and sound a little more than I did with the New Church.But than again,I only like the two singles from off of the New Church's first album."Open Your Eyes" and Russian Roulette.I didn't like any of the rest of that album,and so I got rid of it years ago.

Maybe if I heard it again now,my opinion may change,but I don't really know.I did buy their later albums,after the first one,and I found them to be much better,and not as heavy Punk sounding.

Easy choice--Lords of the New Church.

I enjoy both groups but the Lords had a better sound. They were awesome live as well--never saw the Dead Boys.

The Dead Boys were probably a little more trail-blazing, you know? Early punk-punk rock and all.....

But the Lords were a great group. I'm probably more likely to throw on a Dead Boys record but I spent ALOT of time with the Lords debut in high-schoo

I can't even answer this question -- anything Stiv did was so right on. I got the opportunity to see him perform both Dead Boys reunion shows and in Lords. He was the best rock star front man ever.
