Who Was The Original on Der Komissar?

Falco's video for that song is probably one of the worst in the genre. ATF's video was much more appealing and probably has alot to do with their version's popularity (that and the fact they did it in English, not German, like Falco).

Posted: Fri Aug 20, 2004 12:42 pmTo my knowledge, the song was written by Bolland and Bolland (who had an album out called the Domino Theory, later writing songs and producing artists like Falco). Not sure if it was written FOR FAlco, but he did it first, then ATF (possibly under duress

Posted: Fri Apr 15, 2005 2:37 amDang, everyone beat me to it. Falco was indeed first, followed by ATF. Laura Branigan also used the song (I'd say she sampled, but it's the whole damn song!) in "Deep In The Dark," on Branigan 2.
