I remember in the early 80's before cable was even around, wometco came out. You had a cheezy antenae on your roof and a box on your tv. It only had 2 channels, one had movies and the other had light porn after 10 at night. And cable was not around so the only compatition they had was hbo.HBO at the time was also a box and antenae but HBO played better stuff. I guess thats why they are still around and wht is not. I remember sneaking down into the living room at night to watch the hot movies. How funny, then if someone would here me I would switch to the other station. Funny how now we have hundreds of stations.Progress!

Anyone remember this?[?]

I have the Wometco decoder box. I found it about 12 years ago. It has a speaker in the box, because the audio was scrambled, too.

I spent many a lonely pre-teen night trying in vain to unscramble that softcore-porn stuff. We did'nt subscribe to WHT but it was there (sort of) on UHF.

Ah trying to find porn as a kid-today's young 'uns have it too soft. We didn't even cable when I was young, so finding a dog-eared penthouse was a big deal.

With the Internet and TV-kids today don't have to scramble to find porn, it's whatt's wrong wit

Wometco Home Theatre! LOL!!

How funny is that! I remember good old Uncle Floyd doing commercials for the WHT and then busting on it when they stopped sponsoring his show. That was great! What a blast from the past that was!

Man do I remember giving myself headaches by trying to focus my eyes on the scrambled porn.

With Continental Cablevision in the twin cities in '85, you could get all the other premium channels by changing your tv to channel 2 or 4 and lookin' aronud. On 2&4, the z-order of channels changes ,and sometimes you get stuff like AMC, or SKinemax.
