Any Interest in This?

The site's maps are slightly overwhelming but check out the New Wave, Synth, Synthpop, Italo, Industrial, Electronica, hell - look at all of 'em. The guy who put this site together writes in an easy and humorous narrative. I especially like the summaries about the gear used in alot of this music.

No, not interested.

Until I clicked on the link and got sucked in, and now I'm gonna be up all night checking out this site.

Bastard.

It's a great site Marv. Someone had mentioned this long ago and I had bookmarked it but forgotten about it. Thanks.

I've loved that site for the last 2 years. That guy's writing style is great, he doesn't hold back the gushing love, or the contempt!

Oh, I love that site... comes in handy when you're trying explain to your friends what "futurepop" and "EBM" is!!!

I think there's one part where he writes something along the lines of "I'd write in another genre, but I'm already running out of room in this corner".

Fascinating!
I actually know and love a lot of those split-offs of electronica, but there is always more to learn.
Useful to explain to Mr. KYYX what those genres mean.

Here's the part I like the best:

"...every major player in the music press wants to lay claim to discovering something so kitsch and trendy by giving it their own pet term... (snip)... I am no different which is why I call it 'synthrton', because Electroclash sounds like the stupidest name I've ever heard."
