Pearl Harbour Questions

Postby skinnytie » Sun Sep 05, 2004 2:34 pm

Does anyone have any further info about these two releases? The first one is "Pearls Galore" (her 3rd album), which I thought was never released, but after looking around the internet, it looks like the album had actually been reviewed, so now I'm not so sure. I also saw a track listing for the LP, and it looks like 5 out of the 10 songs were released as 45's, either as a or b-sides.
The other release I have a question about is "Laedt Zum Tanz", which looks like it was released in 1996 (a year after her "Here Comes Trouble" CD). Again, I had never seen it, which is strange, since I'm frequently looking for any releases by her. Can anyone enlighten me as to the true status for these titles?

"Laedt Zum Tanz" is by a heavy metal band by the same name - not Pearl Harbour as we know and love her.

I wish that heavy metal band would choose another name and leave our precious Pearl alone! Thanks for the info on that one, ekahob; now I don't feel bad that I never saw their CD. [:)]

There are 2 different versions of Pearls Galore.
One recorded at Abbey Road in '83 was released on Epic, but only in Japan.

The 1984 version was produced by Richard Gottehrer and was perhaps only released in France, on Island/Phonogram.

One of the things I love about this board is how you guys find this type of info. Thanks for the help, it's nice to have a quest again! Now if I only knew how to read Japanese. [:)]
