New Wave Outpost Forum

Does anyone remeber the Toronto band Boys Brigade. Their debut album in 1983 had two hit singles, "The Passion of Love" and "Melody." I saw them play The Forum at Ontario Place in 1983 when they openned for Red Rider. They were a fantastic band that should have gone far... From what I heard internal fighting between the members cause their very early demise. Its such a shame, Geddy Lee, the lead singer for Rush, worked as producer on the first and only albumn... This will always be for me the Ultimate example of a Band That should have been Big but was'nt...One can only speculate at what might have been. [:(]

Yes, I remember them. Passion of played on Satalite TV music channel awhile back. It's a shame that so many great bands break up because they cant get along. That kind of goes against the whole laid back easy going artist stereotype. It's what fucked the Police up and many other great bands. I did not know Geddy Lee was associated with them, hmmm.

I bought their album on ebay about a year ago. I had only heard Into the Flow previously. I really loved the whole lp.

I got the LP about a year ago, too. I really liked The Cut Up (Breaking Glass) a lot. I agree it is another band that should have made it.
