Does anyone remember this broadcast show? I remember the major rock station out of Montreal would broadcast this show on Sunday nights in the early 80s. It was a great showcase for new bands like Icicle Works, etc.

I remember it. I learned about lots of new acts from the UK long before they got here through that show.

Sure, I remember that show -- used to listen to it regularly circa 84-86. Wasn't it hosted by someone named Graham Dean?

Yup. Graham was the man. That was a really good radio show. Found out about a lot of bands thru it. [:)]

In my area there were no cool New Wave / Alternative radio stations. The Sunday night "Rock Over London" was my only real radio exposure to the New Wave scene. I lived for it!

Great show. Graham Dean - did he have a female sidekick? Memory grows foggy. I know I heard some great stuff on that show, but the only song that comes to mind is Passengers by Elton John.

My experience is similar to fritzb's. On Sundays, I looked forward to Rock Over London. I remember hearing songs by Siouxsie, Erasure, OMD, Depeche Mode, etc. The only thing that I didn't like about the show was how they sometimes cut off the songs really

Sunday evenings I always listed to CHOM-FM, Montreal, for the New Music Foundation. They brought loads of imports and indies to the scene every sunday for a couple of hours, man I lived for that great show. Was Rock Over London on a different station??

Cheapo Records has a bunch of these on vinyl, mainly late 80's. I think they go for $6 per episode.

Listened to it religiously. Still have a tape somewhere from late '85 with It Bites!, the Ferry Aid single and an early version of Queen's "A Kind Of Magic".
