Incredibly Stupid Threads Vs Intelligence

Look, it was dumb enough when there were a slew of "Duran Duran vs Spandau Ballet", "Kim Wilde vs Deborah Harry" "Chess King vs The Factory" threads - but at LEAST those talked about something even remotely new wave related.
But wtf is up with you people and these insipid new 'something pointless vs something pointless' threads? Need I remind you folks to have a look at the top of the page? It's the NEW WAVE OUTPOST - not the Comic Book Fantasy Porn Outpost.
Are you really SO bored that you need these insanely dumb topics?
Yeah, I know, sometimes when I post I can come across as an asshole - but that's only because I respect what Mike has created and it pains me to see his forums degrade into this stupidity. So could we PLEASE use a modicum of thought BEFORE diarreah of the keyboard sets in and stop wasting bandwidth with these insipid threads?

You are right. You do come across as an ass hole! This board is for a bunch of people with the same taste in music to come on and talk. So some people post silly threads. Big deal. I will sleep well tonight anyway. Calm down. How many people are you going

I don't think some fun bantering about non-new wave topics is hurting anyone, or will cause the site to crash. Maybe people have had a long, stressful work week and a little light humor makes for a stress-buster for some of us. I guess not all of have the

I couldn't agree with you more, jfiber. An endless list of stupid, inane topics nothing to do with new wave. Phillyidol and Kimii having their own private conversations in public. People averaging 6 posts per day... GET A LI

Well, that's a loaded fragment of a question. Do you mean incredibly stupid threads versus intelligent threads (or someone's perception of what an intelligent thread might be) or do you mean incredibly stupid threads versus the very idea of human intellig

All I can think to reply with is COME ON!!! I'm not trying to set myself up as some sort of standards and practices committee - but the fact is I joined, and participate in, this board because i respect what it's here for and enjoy having a dialog with fe

Let's see Dave, I'd like to comment on "get a life" even though I believe it to be against my better judgement. I am now looking at a synopsis of my week on my palm pilot. This is a quick summary of this week, Monday-Friday, in addition to the maybe 25 po

Why don't you (or anyone else who is offended by the pervasive "silly" topics) simply not respond to those topics which you deem off-topic or moronic and merely reply to those you deem worthy of discussion. Or, perhaps, if you find this board lacking in s

Imagine someone boycotting or giving up on Superfecta simply because they didn't care for the releases Superfecta was offering? I am guessing a wide range of tastes, needs, etc....determine who buys at Superfecta, where the interest or need lies on a give
