I was talking with my friend the other day and we were talking about the 4 most influential New Wave artists. It was a pretty interesting discussion, and I HAD to bring it here. I picked David Bowie (who influenced just about everyone), John Lydon (Based on Public Image Ltd. and it's influence in transitioning Punk to pop-based post punk), Gary Numan (No explanation needed here), and Ian Curtis (Might be a reach here, but the guy certainly influenced everyone from Bono to Cobain)
Other artists were discussed - Elvis Costello, Adam Ant, Martin Ware, etc. But I would go with my guys.
So question is, who would be on your Mt. Rushmore of New Wave?
