Which Cheap Trick album was New Wave ???

If Mr. Mister is considered new wave by some , then Cheap Trick must of been the kings of the wave. Well , maybe not new wave but at least they are a good band. Some call them a pop or maybe a power pop band . When I listen to the early stuff like "He's a Whore" and "The Ballad of T.V. Violence" I think they also sounded punk . Loved the first three albums the best. Anyone else a fan of this (in my opinion )great band ?
