who out there liked the band.....THE INNOCENTS
who recorded their only album for boardwalk records in early 1982 & was the subjuct of a tv show about making of a new wave band????
the innocents only album,probaly goes down as one of the finest new wave albums of the '80's with such gems like...."stop shooting up stars","directly from the heart","wild at 15"..............

To add to Spaz's trivia, the singer for the Innocents was Michael Convertino, who also went on to score lots of movies, including [i]Bull Durham, Straight Into Darkness, The Santa Clause, Guarding Tess, & Things to Do in Denver When You're Dead.[/i]

"Directly from the Heart" and "Hold My Hand" were the singles, but the tour de force was "Backseat of My Car", a spectacular piece of power pop and one of my college favorites. Never was aware of the Thomas Newman connection before...

I'd still love it if someone could upload this album somewhere ...
