The Buggles Question

Postby Sean » Wed Mar 07, 2007 7:19 am

In the Video Killed The Radio Star video, there was another member of the Buggles behind Trevor & Geoffrey. Who is that and is he a real member of just a video filler? As I was watching the video the other day, I think the video was outstanding and maybe that's why the MTV guys decided to play it as the first video ever on MTV. It's cool how they made the girls float up in the glass tube.

Sorry for dredging up a nearly three-year-old thread, but I just learned that the third person in the VKTRS video is Hans Zimmer (no, really):

I was going to message Sean directly, but there's no e-mail address listed.

yeah, as far as why it was the first video on MTV, I think the title of the song says it all--it was sort of an optimistic calling card. A few years later, Queen recorded a more blatant attack on videos once MTV had taken hold with Radio GaGa.
