I just picked up the really cool 12" EP yesterday, before that I only was aware of "Humanesque" this EP is really good and I think it's a perfect example of early new wave

Funny, I loved "Avenue B" when WLIR used to play it, saw Black 47 live a couple times, but never knew Larry Kirwan was a "Major Thinker" until now.

guglielm - THANK YOU ! [:)] This is so weird, hearing this again after all these years.

It's funny. You have a song on an old scratchy cassette somewhere, and that's how the song imprints itself on your memory. Static-y, dropped out here and there, kind of like hearing a song today that's at a bad or low bitrate. Then, thanks to the modern wonder of the Internets, you hear it in its glory and it's a like a whole different song !
(in my case, I had a few badly-recorded songs b/c I was just a silly teenager, rabid about music, but not having access to primo equipment or even good radio stations, sometimes, and I recorded and took what I could get.)
