SOULSISTER new wave or not?????

would you consider them new wave or euro pop?
soulsister had a massive worldwide hit with their first single,,"THE WAY TO YOUR HEART", in 1988. (the way to your heart even made the u.s. top 40 in 1988)
SOULSISTER only released one album here in the states called,"IT TAKES TWO".
soulsister went on to release 4 more albums in europe that all spun numerous number ones & top 10's.
paul michiels & jan leyers from soulsister even worked with fellow belgium pop star,plastic bertrand in the late 1970's.
paul michiels also recorded,alphaville's song,"forever young" on his first solo album after soulsister.
