Hey! They changed the Lyrics!
Posted: Sat Mar 17, 2007 4:05 amI was re-listening to the Heaven 17 comp "Higher and Higher" and remembered that their remixed version of "Fascist Groove Thang" had an "updated" (for then) version of the lyrics:
Orig: "Democrats are out of power/Across that great wide ocean
Reagan's president elect/Fascist god in motion"
"New": Democrats are back in power/Across that great wide ocean
Bush is proof you can't elect/A Fascist god in motion
Now despite the fact the latter prediction went horribly wrong[;)], any other examples of updated, original, or remixed versions of NW songs where the lyrics were changed?
