Let's hear it for Alex Call...he's simply amazing! OK let's begin here, his self titled LP was released in 1983 and is one of the best to come out in 1983, don't believe me...take a listen and see. The LP opens up with the catchy and witty "Just Another Saturday Night" Alex touched a very serious topic and turned into a really cool pop song. "Blue Avenue" is next and is equally great. "Love Dogs" the last track on the first side is also very good and now let's flip it over to the B side and here we have the ORIGINAL version of "New Romeo" which later became a hit for Southside Johnny. Peter Wolf also played keys on this LP and that is just an added bonus.
