Dead or Alive album question

Postby Rubellan » Fri Apr 13, 2007 1:14 am

Other than running order, is there any difference between the songs/versions of Dead or Alive's debut album "Sophisticated Boom Boom"?

Oh My! Does this mean that you might remaster "Sophisticated Boom Boom?" THIS would be a dream come true for me. It's my absolute favorite album by Dead Or Alive. Credit really goes to Zeus B. Held as the producer of the project.

Anyway, I don't know exactly, only that "Misty Circles" was longer on the flip-side of "You Spin Me Round (Like A Record)." I guess with the other singles, their 12-inch mixes are of course different.

Keeping my fingers crossed for you to do your remaster magic on this album!!!!

Unfortunately, what we really need are Nightmares in Wax and the indie singles. Ol' Pete started at the top and just went downhill from there.

I have the Japanese edition (which is out of print as well) so a remaster with bonus tracks would be great!

As far as I know, and I have a load of Dead Or Alive 12" singles, I am fairly certain I own extended/alternate mixes on the following songs, most 12" singles probably include a b-side as well. I will do some digging later tonight and let you know what I can come up with.

What I Want
Misty Circles
I'd Do Anything
That's The Way
You Make Me Wanna

Hey Scott,

I was looking forward to an answer myself, so I dug up some information for you. Check www.discogs.com for Dead Or Alive information. From what I can tell on some of the releases (12-inch that is) they are different than the LP versions. This is a project that just begs for your Midas touch!!! I pray that you can do this sometime in the near future.

Take care,

Jeffrey
