Tony Hadley, from Spandau Ballet. Solo question

Postby Stuck In The Eighties » Fri Apr 13, 2007 2:16 am

Has anyone ever heard any of Tony Hadley's solo work?
I have become a big fan of Spandau Ballet (just recently, sadly) and was wondering if Hadley's solo material had a new wave/nre romantic feel to it.
I know that Gary Kemp wrote Spandau Ballet's material, and I'm concerned that Hadley's solo stuff may verge in teh direction of lounge singer.

I have State of Play cd, its AOR mostly, a far cry from SP new romantic days
Tony did a covers cd in 1997 & he covered DD Save A Prayer with Simon as backing vocals. Nice cover, i like it very much

After that i never heard anything from him

No problem.

Difficult to see this happening, what with the Kemps still involved in acting...you never know though.

its generally AOR and lounge jazz - nothing like spandau - though 'lost in your love' from 'state of play' is good. I thought hadley's comment on radio was more of a desparate plea to get back together again - but then they were very jealous of duran's comeback...
