I really like the Grosse Point Blank soundtrack (and the film too),
also way way back there was a film called "Party Animal" which had loads of great stuff from Buzzcocks, Chelsea, Fleshtones etc... dont think they released it as a soundtrack though.

I loved Repo Man! But my favorite soundtracks are way more mundane: Flashdance, Footloose, Against All Odds, Fame, Back to the Future.

I'm with ekahob on the two "Valley Girl" soundtracks.

Also, Jonathan Demme had two great 80s soundtracks, "Something Wild" (1986) and "Married to the Mob" (1988).

I DEFINITELY have to agree with jfiber's choice for "Married to the Mob". I just grabbed my old copy of the soundtrack and have to say it's really good. Haven't listened to it in years!
