July 4th

Postby medication881 » Wed Jun 13, 2007 3:07 pm

I know it's early to start thinking about it, but I have. Mainly because my radio show Medication will be moving to Wednesday night from 10pm to midnight (CDT) starting Wednesday July 4th. So much for the fireworks...

I'm hoping that more of you will be able to listen on the web since it's in the evening. The website is www.kdhx.org

It's 80's power pop, new wave, and new stuff by old artists like the Pet Shop Boys, Colin Hay, and Morrissey. Bands like the Killers, Bravery, Kaiser Chiefs, etc. can be heard as well. Love doing theme shows too, like the alphabet series, when I pick a letter and play all bands/artists starting with that letter. This past Monday I did an all Mark Knopfler/Dire Straits show. Got a ton of phone calls too, which I love. (314)664-3688 is the studio number if anyone wants to call and say hi during the show (Wednesdays 10pm to 12 midnight, central time). In the meantime, I have 3 more shows left on Mondays from noon to 2pm, including a 4 hour show on the 25th (noon to 4) where I'll have a new artist live on the show named Rena Summers, and aspiring country artist who has a cd release party scheduled at the Sheldon Concert Hall in St. Louis. She asked if I would emcee and I accepted of course (she is drop dead gorgeous to boot). The Sheldon is a pretty large theater, so I'm excited! My last Monday show is July 2nd.

This thread will become overwhelmed with posts about Independence Day in 5....4.....3....2....1....
