Yes, I know, kind of a weird question. Like "Blir, WTF? STFU! FOAD! DILLIGAS?! KMA dude!" Fine.
But think about it. Lotsa great bands with great first albums. Maybe some shakey sophomore efforts though, and at the time you weren't sure if they were going to stay great. A lot of times it's that 3rd album that cements both your confidence in that band, their staying power, and their status in the pantheon of great bands.
Thusly, what are the greatest 3rd albums of new wave, particularly if they stand apart from a previous effort but not necessarily so. [8D]
