I just found a great Cd of thiers in a used store, that I had never seen before, and it really was good. This one sounds alot like The Blasters style. It is called "Check This Action" Does anyone remember their song that got some airplay on both MTV back in the day, around 1984 or so,and the music video of "Pretty Little Lights Of Town? This is the song that really got me turned onto their music.Just curious if anyone else remembers this group with Steve Doerr who was their lead singer? Thanks.

Oh and I forgot to tell you,for those that don't know this group, they were an 80's Rockabilly group, very much like The Blasters.

My only experience with the Leroi Brothers was hearing an album of theirs about 15 years ago. Don't remember much about it, except liking the song "D.W.I.".

I never realy thought of them as really true rockabilly, more quirky pop with a southwest flare

Well if The Blasters are able to get away with calling themselves a true Rockabilly group, well then so can The Leroi Brothers,as alot of their songs sound quite alike, and so does their style.

To each their own of course, but again, JUST FOR ME, I don;t think of The Blasters in the true rockabilly sense. Listen to the Stray Cats and The Polecats, then listen to The Blasters and Leroi Bros, I think both the latter are more southwest-tinged rock
