It's always wonderful to discover that a member of one of my favorite synth bands from the 1980s, Blancmange, has been keeping active musically. In fact, he has composed tracks for Globe Trekker, one of my fave PBS shows, and his songs are available on the series CDs. I really do like the music in the TV series, and it's just a nice coincidence that Stephen Luscombe from Blancmange (and West India Company) is one of the composers on the series soundtracks. Like, totally ! Any other Blancmange fans ?

I've got Happy Families and Mange Tout. The cover ofthe other LP always scared me away. If you guys say it's good I'll go buy it tomorrow.

The cover, where they're frolicing against a wall, just seemed a bit too poppy and light. It struck me as beingthe same kind of record that Altered Images put out with "Bite". First 2 records are of a certain style and then they change, not necessarily

Blancmange's 3rd album, "Believe You Me", is outstanding! I've got all three of their albums on CD and the 3rd is by far the best. Highly recommend picking the CD up. It's rare, but you can find them on Ebay for about 50.00. Good Luck.

I have Mange Tout on vinyl and the first and third on my computer. I love them, I think they made some great new wave, and were quiter underrated.

Blancmange were great although always underrated because they never really looked cool.
Blind Vision was a fantastic electronic dance song ; I think I remember a great remix by francious kevorkian at the time.
