They played Berlin's "The Metro" on the radio today, and I was surprised out how cheap and tinny the backbeat sounded. The synthesizers didn't sound so hot either. I don't know why this song struck me so hard. The backbeat to "Tainted Love" isn't all that different, machine-wise, but it sounds better to me. (I like both songs.)

So I was wondering what songs sound outdated to other people? Note that I am NOT talking about lyrics, like say "Free Nelson Mandela" or numerous anti-Reagan and Thatcher songs.
